Counter-profiled

Conventional and CNC counter-profiling machines for PVC profiles

Conventional and CNC counter-profiling machines, also known as end-milling machines or counter-moulding machines, are designed for high-precision profiling. Precision is key in counter-profiling, end-machining and counter-moulding. When PVC profiles need to fit together perfectly, a reliable and stable solution is essential.

The technology ensures that profiles are manufactured exactly to specification, resulting in a very high and consistent standard of quality.

Our counter-profiling machine has been developed for demanding applications. Whether for small batches or large quantities, the machine delivers consistent and repeatable results.

CNC counter-profiling for complex shapes and tolerances

With CNC control, complex shapes and tight tolerances can be achieved effortlessly. This makes CNC counter-profiling the ideal choice for manufacturers of high-quality PVC products.

CNC machining makes it possible to produce rounded counter-profiles, combined with end-face machining and counter-moulds. All this is carried out with a very high degree of precision and at a high machining speed.

In addition, CNC counter-profiling can also be used to create a wood-effect joint (HVL). This offers additional aesthetic and technical possibilities within PVC joinery.

Suitable for milling mullions and HVL joints

These machines use milling heads and are therefore particularly well suited to the milling of mullions. Furthermore, CNC machines can also produce HVL joints with a high degree of accuracy.

The well-known stable and robust design of Soenen Hendrik ensures very high precision and a fast, stable milling speed, even during intensive use.

Advantages of a PVC counter-profiling machine

When you choose a counter-profiling machine, you save time, increase your flexibility and ensure consistent quality. Some key benefits include:

  • Outstanding precision in every operation

  • Increased production capacity thanks to efficient automation

  • Reduced risk of errors thanks to stable CNC control

  • Machining of complex shapes such as HVL, rounded profiles and combinations of straight and angled sections

  • Capability to machine a wide range of profile complexities

CNC counter-profiling improves the fit of PVC components and eliminates the need for manual work. This results in lower production costs, less rework and a consistent end result across all production runs.

How does counter-profiling work with PVC profiles?

Depending on the type of machine, one or more profiles can be milled in a single cycle. The machining can be carried out in a straight, angled or circular direction, depending on the desired joint and profile shape.

The form cutters and profile cutters, together with the milling sets, are developed, technically engineered and manufactured by Soenen. Based on the cutter shapes, the milling sets are specifically designed to ensure maximum precision and repeatability.

On CNC machines, the milling path is controlled via a job file. Manual input remains possible, which offers extra flexibility for bespoke work or specific applications.

Applications of counter-profiling in PVC profiles

Counter-profiling is used in a wide range of situations where a perfect fit is required, such as:

  • End machining
    Mullions
    HVL joints
    Mullions requiring rounding
    Profiles with complex end machining
